Mike graduated from the University of Michigan in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Prior to being an Advisor with AnchorPointe, Mike worked at Arthur Andersen, an international public accounting firm, for 24 years. He then started his own firm, Muchortow and Associates, in 2003.
Mike's primary role is to help people plan for retirement and live comfortably once they get there. In addition to being a CPA, Mike holds various security and insurance licenses. He is well versed in investments, taxes, insurance and estate planning techniques and uses this knowledge to prepare customized financial solutions for his clients and manage their investment and retirement portfolios. Mike delivers his services in a highly personalized way and will coordinate the use of other consultants, when necessary. He is a fiduciary and enjoys serving and building strong relationships with his clients.
Mike is an avid golfer, so if you cannot find him in the office, your best bet is to start calling around to the local golf courses. When he is not out on the links, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife of 40+ years, watching sports, hanging out with his grandkids or reading a good book.
